Plaudits for Successful Completion of DTT Project
Described as some of the most difficult radio routes in the world to provide, praise has been received for Beacon from Arqiva on completion of their BT DTT Links programme of works.
The project was hugely challenging for a number of reasons ... geography/logistics/dish size/site types/site access to name but a few ... additionally, the required delivery dates for the radio routes were very tight and pressurized. Up against all of this, Beacon were congratulated for maintaining focus on delivery and achieving what Arqiva asked. The project was always going to be a sizeable undertaking, but Darren Davies, BT Links Delivery Manager for Arqiva wrote "for one I&C company to take this project on on Arqiva's behalf has meant that, from a Project Management perspective, reporting lines between organisations have been direct, effective and dynamic, and all that I have seen from all layers within Beacon is effort and a desire to hit the dates - that is what was needed to get this project in" Darren finished by saying "thank you and well done to everyone involved from Beacon for all of the very hard work completed in this period, which has enabled Arqiva to deliver a network ready for use by BT M&B and DSO going forwards"
It is always rewarding for everyone to hear such positive feedback from their clients, especially on such a high profile project. This was an enjoyable project for Beacon and although the challenges were both significant and numerous, Beacon take great satisfaction in knowing that our clients are happy with the results we achieve.
